Paws & Claws Pet Sitting Service, LLC,
originally began in New Jersey and after 3 years moved to Williamsburg
in May of 2005. Paws & Claws currently has a staff of
7 pet sitters. We
are insured and members of PSI, Pet Sitters International. Ronnye is
certified by the Red Cross in pet first aid.
Paws & Claws is an at home pet sitting service with clients in Williamsburg and the surrounding areas. For the owners, at-home pet sitting provides a unique alternative to boarding facilities or having to rely on family and neighbors to check in on their pets. Sitters come to the home daily so that the family pets are able to maintain regular routines, including feedings, walks and more. Regardless the tasks, our four-legged clients always receive one-on-one care and attention from a pet-sitting professional. Pets experience less stress and adjust better to their owners' absences when they remain in their regular environment. Our belief is that this reduction in stress creates a positive impact on a pet's overall health and well-being.
Paws & Claws makes as many visits to the home as the owner feels are necessary during their absence. The times of the visits are determined by the owner so that the pets stay within their own schedule and routine. When available, we have sitters that will stay overnight in the home for those clients who are apprehensive about leaving their pets alone during the night.
Paws & Claws first visit to the home is to complete a house and pet profile. This allows the pet owners to meet us and more importantly allows the pets to meet us! During this time we learn the details of caring for the pets and specific information we need to know about their home such as the location of bowls, food, leashes, litter, etc. We include in our services bringing in the mail, newspaper, turning lights on and off and watering a plant or two.
